Tanvi Dua Case Study - Flipbook - Page 1
Finding the right 昀椀t,
not just another job
with Tanvi Dua
Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Changing 昀椀rms is one of the most important
decisions an adviser can make when it comes to
their own career. The right move can accelerate
personal growth and achievement, but the
wrong one can set it back.
When Tanvi decided it was time for a change,
she wasn’t just looking for another mortgage
adviser role.
I was looking for a firm that
offered strong support, a positive
culture, and opportunities for growth.
These were areas that were lacking in
my previous firm, which ultimately
led to my decision to
move on.
Having spent two years building her expertise
across residential mortgages, remortgages,
buy-to-let lending and protection, she knew what
she wanted from the next stage of her career: a
supportive environment, opportunities for growth,
and a business that aligned with her values.
Her challenge
wasn’t 昀椀nding
opportunities to
move. It was 昀椀nding
the right one at the
right 昀椀rm.

Finding clarity through Stonebridge
The mortgage industry o昀昀ers no shortage of
opportunities, but understanding what a business
is really like from the outside can be quite di昀케cult.
When Tanvi connected with Stonebridge’s adviser
recruitment team, the process immediately felt
di昀昀erent.
As Tanvi explored the market, she found herself
investing a lot of time researching 昀椀rms, attending
interviews, and trying to uncover the reality behind
the recruitment messaging. What mattered most
wasn’t salary or job title; it was con昀椀dence that the
next move would genuinely be the right one.
Many interviews appeared
similar on paper, but it was difficult
to determine the level of support,
company culture, lead generation,
compliance standards and overall
adviser experience.
Rather than simply matching CVs to vacancies,
the focus was on understanding what she wanted
from her next role and identifying 昀椀rms that
genuinely aligned with those goals.
Crucially, they were able to provide insight that
couldn’t be found through job descriptions,
company websites, or 昀椀rst-stage interviews. By
drawing on their knowledge of 昀椀rms across the
network, they helped create a much clearer
picture of the people, culture and
support structures behind
each opportunity.
